Entered in a competition hosted by Laika Studios and Hot Topic, guidelines were to create fanart pays homage to the studio's filmography and characters.
I came up with the concept of if there were to be a sequel where the worlds of Coraline and ParaNorman were to collide. Crafting a story of the evil Beldam setting her sights on Norman Babcock next. From there, this piece was born. It's an idea that excited me to create.
I branched out somewhat in my approach of painting this piece, experimenting in a different program I hadn't used before called Adobe Fresco. Because of the extremely large size of the canvas, painting proved quite difficult at times. Luckily, I came out with something I'm relatively proud of. I hope others enjoy this piece of mine as well!
